In 1971, Johannes Stehmann founded the company Johannes Stehmann Damenmoden. Today, operating under the name STEHMANN Mode GmbH, the company, one of the few lady trouser specialists around, distributes its collection to more than 3,000 specialist distributors and retailers in over 30 countries.
Tradition meets Trend
An expert team of around 70 employees forms the foundation of the Stehmann brand. Company founder and managing partner Johannes Stehmann has been supported for several years in managing the company by his daughter Judith Stehmann, who is in charge of the areas of Collections/Marketing and CAD. His son Frank Stehmann is responsible for Purchasing and Commercial Management.
Around 1.2 million trousers are currently manufactured each year. In terms of production, Stehmann has established long-term cooperative partnerships with manufacturers in countries such as Macedonia, Slovakia and the Czech Republic and withdrew production in Asia many years ago. With recommended sales price points between 59 and 149 euros, STEHMANN offers two pre-order collections every year, each with three delivery dates, as well as additional trend and extensive NOS programmes. The trouser specialist has been the European market leader in the Pull On area for several years with the INA® & Co. styles. These flexible and comfortable stretch trousers are on offer in materials such as bengaline, jersey and high-tech cotton.
Along with the successful INA® & Co. styles, for several seasons STEHMANN has been placing great importance on fashion-inspired trousers with sophisticated design, high-quality materials and a perfect fit. The fashion segment is developing very encouragingly under the STEHMANN brand and in the future too will assume an important position within the collection.
